What people book here

Walking tours, food and drink experiences, e-bike rides, and city Segway tours.

Greenville’s tour scene is led by walking tours and food experiences, making up the bulk of the 32 options available. 41% of all tours are priced under $25, and 94% are under $100, so most visitors find something in the lower price bands. Food and drink tours, especially those including full meals or tastings, are among the most popular and best reviewed, with several earning perfect 5-star averages from dozens of reviewers.

The best-reviewed experiences tend to include generous portions, knowledgeable guides, and time spent at multiple stops, while the few poorly rated tours—7 out of 32, or 22%—are concentrated in ghost and night tours. Almost every tour confirms instantly, and free cancellation is standard, with 97% offering it.

What is on offer

The catalogue

With 32 experiences, Greenville’s catalogue is compact but varied. Walking tours, food and drink experiences, and e-bike rides dominate, while Segway and city tours round out the selection. 41% of tours are under $25, and 94% are below $100, so the city is accessible for most budgets. The overall median price is $31, but this figure is influenced by a handful of private tours priced per vehicle.

Category medians can look contradictory: for example, 'Private and Luxury' includes both affordable walking tours and higher-end private rides, so the price range is wide. Nearly all tours offer free cancellation, and every product confirms instantly. Nine tours have been highlighted for quality, but 22% of the catalogue is rated below 4 stars, with the lowest scores found in ghost and night tours.

Admission, meals, and time spent at stops vary widely between tours at similar prices, especially among food and city tours. Knowing what’s included is key, as some tours offer full meals or tastings, while others only provide snacks or commentary.

How to choose

Where the money goes

Travelers looking for value will find that $8–$25 covers a variety of self-guided scavenger hunts and basic walking tours, but the best-reviewed experiences cluster in the $30–$80 range, particularly food tours and e-bike rides. For example, the Small-Group Walking Tour with Breakfast ($72) includes full entrees at each stop and two hours spent entirely at venues, while the similarly priced Just Desserts Tour focuses on sweets and also keeps guests at stops for the full duration. In contrast, some lower-priced tours, like the Paranormal Walking Tour ($21), receive consistent criticism for uninformative guides and off-topic stories, with several reviewers calling the experience disappointing or confusing.

Among ghost tours, the difference in reviews is stark: The Greenville Ghost Hunt ($30) has a perfect 5-star record from 25 reviewers, with praise for knowledgeable guides and a blend of history and local lore, while the Paranormal Walking Tour is the only product in the city with more than 10 reviews and a rating below 3.5, criticized for guides straying from the subject and poor delivery.

E-bike and Segway tours ($56–$79) are highly rated, especially when they include equipment, food, and substantial time at attractions. The Pedego Electric Bike Tour ($79) and its brunch variant both receive near-perfect scores, with guests highlighting the quality of the bikes, the inclusion of meals, and the attention to safety and training. The Greenville City Segway Tour ($56) is praised for its thorough training and engaging guides, though a few reviewers mention issues with equipment and refund policies if unable to ride.

Food and drink tours ($72–$79) consistently deliver on value when they include full meals, appetizers, or cocktails at multiple venues, and reviewers often note that portions are generous enough to replace a meal. The best-rated guides are those who personalize the experience and share local history, while the rare negative review usually mentions a mismatch between expectations and what was delivered, such as a guide eating more than guests or unclear meeting instructions. For most, spending above $30 secures a well-reviewed, inclusive experience, while anything below $25 is more likely to be self-guided or basic.

When to book

Almost all Greenville tours confirm instantly, so last-minute booking is possible for most. However, the most popular food and drink tours, especially those with meals or cocktails, can sell out on weekends. Since 97% of tours offer free cancellation, booking ahead is low-risk and secures a spot on the best-reviewed experiences.

There is no evidence in the reviews or booking data of seasonal pricing or availability changes, so timing mainly matters for high-demand dates and meal-based tours.

The experiences

Worth a look.

Every good tour needs a photo spot, and the Camperdown Mural is the best one for this tour. This particular mural changes about every three months.
Camperdown is a major attraction in the area, but it used to be a center of manufacturing for Greenville during it's textile days.
Brown Street was instrumental in the founding of early American music, especially Jazz. Walk down the same street that some of America's foundational musicians practiced on.
Joel Roberts Poinsett was one of two men who made Greenville, SC, into a real city. He did much more than that, including growing the first Poinsettia, but we need to save some info for your tour.

The Westin Poinsett has a rich, and ghostly, history.
The Reedy River has been here longer than the city itself. And has way haunted activity than you might expect.
Even the parking garages here have haunted secrets.
Some of the oldest graves in Greenville are above ground, as the area used to flood.
The city of Greenville actually closes these gates during Halloween, so we can only watch from the outside at that time. They also have people patrolling the area with weapons, due to vandalism.

Belladina's has more than just pizza, they make some incredible meat balls. With both ample portions and delicious cheese, this is a personal favorite of one of your guides. Samples may vary.
Belladina's Pizza feels like a local, comfortable pizza shop, because it is. Art lines the walls and they even let kids put up pictures in the store. It has a real "family" atmosphere here.
Four meats, fresh tomatoes, one of their most popular slices it the "Potenza", Italian for "Strength".
Byrd's Famous Cookies always does things big during Christmas. No matter what time of year it is, they have the store whimsically decorated for you.
